Sulimar Cook, the Cape Verdean/Aruban contestant was elected last saturday as the new miss Queen Fernandes Summer Carnival of 2011.
The 25 year old student from Spijkernisse will follow up the 2010th Queen Laila Blancheville as she will lead the Fernandes Summer Carnival this Saturday in Rotterdam.

The first edition of the Amsterdam Hip Hop Festival on Saturday, July 30 accommodates a large number of national and international acts.

Fernandes Summer Carnival 2011 is upon us! On July 30 the 27th Street Parade draws Fernandes of the Summer Carnival the streets of Rotterdam. But not without the first Queen. This year nine candidates from around the country are competing for the title. On Saturday, July 23, the Queen is elected at the annual election. RTV Rijnmond steams the ladies in the five-part series The Queens Summer School ready for the office of Queen Fernandes Summer Carnival.
